Bedford Steel Pan Academy

Bedford Steel Pan Academy meets on a Thursday evening at Goldington Academy. The sessions will be delivered by the very experienced ‘Abdul Williams’ who has recently moved into the area.

Saturday Morning Music Centre

Every Saturday from 9am until 12pm at Castle Newnham School. For young people aged 3 – 11 covering a range of different musical learning and activities. Suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with some musical experience.

Bedford Kids Chorus

Every Tuesday from 4:30pm until 5:30pm at Castle Newnham School. For young people aged 7 – 11 who are enthusiastic singers and want to sing and perform with others, and learn songs in a range of different styles.

Digital Beats

Every Wednesday from 6pm until 7:30pm at Castle Newnham School. For young people aged 9 – 16 interested in learning or developing DJ’ing skills.

Vocal Beats

Every Wednesday from 5pm until 6pm at Castle Newnham School. For young people aged 9-16 who would like to learn how to beatbox and rap alongside creating and performing their music with others.

Creative Beats

Every Wednesday from 6 – 7:30pm at Castle Newnham School. For young people aged 9 – 16 who would like to create their own music and develop their music technology skills.

Bedford Rock School

Every Thursday from 6pm until 9pm at Castle Newnham School. For guitarists, drummers and bassists who are Grade 3 standard and above.

Bedford Rox Vox

Every Thursday from 6:30 – 7:30pm at Castle Newnham School. For young people aged 10 – 18 who are keen Pop and Rock singers.

Junior Strings

Every Friday from 4:30pm until 5:30pm at Castle Newnham School. For young string players who are Grade 1 – 3 standard

Junior Wind Band

Every Friday from 5:45pm until 6:45pm at Castle Newnham School. For young wind and brass players who are Grade 1 – 3 standard

Intermediate Jazz Band

Every Friday from 4.30pm until 5.30pm at Castle Newnham School. For sax and brass players who are Grade 3 standard and above.

North Bedfordshire Youth Choir

Every Friday from 5.15 until 6.45pm at Castle Newnham School, for enthusiastic and committed singers aged 11 to 18.

NBYCO

Every Friday from 7pm until 9pm at Castle Newnham School. For advanced string, wind and brass players.

HAF Holiday Courses

We run a number of free holiday activities supported by Bedford Borough Council’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme. This is a nation-wide programme, funded by the Department for Education (DfE), enabling statutory school aged children in receipt of benefit related free school meals, to access FREE clubs and activities during the Easter, summer and Christmas holidays. Every eligible child receives a free hot meal, at every HAF activity session they attend.
