Evaluation Criteria for Secondary Schools – 5. Rehearsal and Practice Space

Does your school have adequate space for rehearsals and individual practice?

There are no practice rooms or specialist spaces but we use timetabling to ensure lessons can be accommodated.
Pupils are encouraged to practise at home. There is not the opportunity at school.
The spaces used for lessons/rehearsals are well resourced, with ample space, stands, piano, sound system etc.
Pupils are encouraged to practise at home but before a concert sometimes teachers will facilitate a space in a classroom to practise.
There are spaces for rehearsals and individual practice, these have some basic resources available and there is availability for pupils to practise on occasion.
Some practise sessions are available on an occasional basis.
There are spaces used for rehearsals and individual practise, an ample sized music room which is well resourced and set up for the purpose of music exclusively.
Pupils and or parents book sessions to practise in school on a regular basis.
